Unmounted Ball Bearings

Radial ball bearings consist of an inner and outer ring with a retainer that contains a number of precision balls. The double row ball radial ball bearing - containing two rows of ball-type rolling elements - takes up less space than two single row ball bearings in tandem. This allows it to handle greater radial loads in a more confined space. The double row is available with a variety of seal, shield and retaining ring styles.

The balls are supported in both radial and axial direction. This is due to the deep grooves in the raceways of both inner and outer rings. This allows the bearing to compensate for small misalignments.
These bearings have two rows of balls and a spherical outer raceway. This allows misalignments caused by shaft deflection or variations in housing alignment
Single row, angular contact ball bearings are especially designed to carry combination radial and single direction thrust loads
The single acting thrust ball bearings are designed to carry only one directional axial load. Double acting ball bearings can carry axial loads in 2 directions.
